wait for it...

autumn is my favorite season, so much so that i kept wishing people a happy first day of fall today, the solstice number of 21 stuck in my mind.

but it's equinox and we've a couple of days to wait yet, until the 23rd, as a friend reminded me. (this after all the said greetings, and i even made a special pumpkin and heirloom tomato pasta sauce and everything!)

what didn't quite work out was the annual pumpkin spice latte, which i will treat myself to on monday, the first real day of fall. meanwhile, enjoy these photos, beauty being always in season...
