the mackintosh rose

so grateful my scottish friend introduced me to one of her favorite artists:  charles rennie mackintosh! 

mackintosh (1868-1928) was a scottish designer, architect, and artist famous for everything from stained glass and furniture to botanical drawings and the Glasgow School of Art.

combining simple geometric and curved lines, his rose is a symbol for beauty and design world-wide.

i would like very much to visit the Willow Tea Rooms.
