i had the pleasure to meet distinguished international artist wang gongyi this week.  celebrating her 76th birthday and radiating inner joy through her eyes and smile, it was her friends who told me she was an artist. 

even before i knew who she was, i noticed she herself was drawn to beauty, picking up our shop's most beautiful coffee table book and taking time to really look intently at her surroundings.
