word nerd
learned a new word while reading "how to read water: clues and patterns from puddles to the sea" by tristan gooley.
it is 'meaify': the fine skill of navigating by reading the behavior of the water.
also learned that both 'aber' and 'inver' are stems in celtic for mouth of a river or where waters flow together, as in the names abergavenny and inverness!
