student art show
so very proud of my art students again this year and especially because they not only created their artwork, but also learned to choose, mat, frame, and display their own show!
our theme was "perspectives", as we focused on both 2D and 3D design. even with the previous post's photos it's challenging to show the scope of all the K-8 pieces.
projects and mediums explored this year include but are not limited to: origami, paper marbling, silk painting, pointillism, tessellations, oil pastel, wire, sculpture, weaving, logo design, magazine covers, and photography.
camera in hand, their assignment was to capture fresh literal lines as well as life from another person's perspective, so "angles & empathy".
it's a young people show, so we make sure to have fun. bob ross showed up as a life-size cardboard cut-out selfie station and was the inspiration for many of the pieces, gifts, and laughter along the way.
