field trips for all ages

yesterday morning i led a student art field trip and the kids were so great, their listening, careful work, and cleaning up without being asked really impressed the studio owner!

on the ride there and back i was asking them their plans for memorial day weekend when a girl asked, "what about you, mrs. art (their name for me), what are you doing?"

"well," i said, "i'm going to do a little field trip of my own with a friend!" which made them smile, "we're getting together to play in a glass studio".

and we did. and it was inspiring...
