on seeing with new eyes

i got to meet the most fascinating couple last week!  introducing don (and mimi) lamp on how to travel in your own hometown with new eyes.  

while i've had the good fortune to travel both nationally and internationally, i find myself quite content due to this very concept.  

when i housesit, for example, i pack my bag and pretend i'm on a grand adventure (which could be as simple as trying a new coffee shop or grocery store).  in a sense, everything is new because it changes my morning commute, how i make tea, and the view out whichever guest room i happen to be in.

what little things do you find help you to see your own daily life in fresh ways?
