the ministry of availability

thank you to a friend of a friend for this phrase, "the ministry of availability". 

just being around, not being too busy, having some open-ended days with no agenda, not often being in a hurry, an uncluttered inner world, a simple outer world of contentment...

...while these are ideals, there are seasons where we have more availability than at other times. 

it's so cool to think about not automatically filling each day or chunks of a day so as to have some room for spontaneity in this regard.
