stories of a generation

in my invitation to follow the seasons more closely, i allow myself movie/show access december-february.  (once spring comes, all things wine, olive oil, and lavender pick up...plus it's time to garden and kayak!)

i enjoy all sorts of genres of film and various series'.  yesterday i was in the mood for documentaries.  i learned so much in part due to the order of multiple shows.

first i watched brene brown's "a call to courage" which primed me about the nuances of and relationship between vulnerability, risk, and courage.

this led nicely into "from stress to happiness" about a stressed-out film maker learning to meditate in patagonia.

all of this richness unfurled magnificently while watching "stories of a generation with pope francis", four episodes by theme (love, struggle, work, dream) interviewing 18 individuals over the age of 70 from all over the world.  i can't stop thinking about the incredible stories of these human beings and how they are able to be some of the most joy-filled and hopeful people on the planet!
