of eyeshadow and intention

a dear friend invited me to watch a live streamed ash wednesday service with her. neither of us being Catholic, we needed ashes to make a cross on our foreheads, so we used grey eyeshadow (i think the trinity understands our heart intent).

instead of giving something up, we decided to do something new instead. my intention is to look for the blessing.

when i am frustrated, angry, or presented with the similar emotions from others, to ask, "where is love here? where is the opportunity to bless?" acknowledging the humanness and transforming it into a bestowed gift to myself and others.

that's the intention and daily life will be certain to provide ample practice.
