mahler's 2nd

...symphony, that is.

composer Gustav Mahler has always resonated with me, in part i think because he was comfortable living, and reflecting in his music, the entire range of human emotion.

noticing the local symphony is playing his 2nd, also called 'the resurrection' symphony, i ordered the music and read up on the history of the piece.

it's perfect timing and well-curated for our times i think. and i'm looking forward to listening to all the movements.
