liminal space

"liminality is not the big event, but the space around the event, the energy of potentiality that makes an action or decision possible.  liminal space is a realm of possibility, a threshold or crack or small gesture where rupture or creation happens.  it's a way of thinking non-binarily.  it's about just being.

as Emmanel Vaughan-Lee writes, 'it is the space between worlds, the space that is opened up as one world comes to an end and another one begins, even if it is very, very nascent.'"

Questions for liminal space-dwellers:

-how might you rethink liminal space as a place of possibility, contradiction, or invitation?

-how are bodies liminal spaces, both holding everything together and constantly breaking?

-how does this type of space ask you to find new bearings and ways of navigating?
