epiphany
"in the light of the dark, look at it all. it is all end full."--nina maclaughlin (from Winter Solstice)
when darkness beckons
inside this Dark is brightness invited
(like glowing sea-floor creatures,
who knows how?)
and within silence's Silence, music.
do not rush from solstice, stay.
burrow deep and sleep
letting the dreams of particle and wave
wake you when they're ready
imagine suns without damage, burns, or
certain blindness
imagine faces upturned bending toward
transfiguration like planets and all their
star clusters fanned into needful flame
sparks breaking through from above and
parachuted like dandelions
down
down
into weary heartedness
landing across and erasing enemy lines
with One ray illumined,
seen
