rest in peace, maggie smith

rest in peace, maggie smith.  i have to say i'm sad she passed away.  it's selfish, i know, just because there won't be any more classic films with her in them.

in honor of this amazing dame, i'm going to watch everything from her 1969 "the prime of miss jean brodie" to episodes of more recent downton abbey and "ladies in lavender."

it's consoling that judi dench is still living.  at any rate, these greats of theater and screen can never really die in our memories and hearts, icons that they are.
