carpe drive-in
after years (over 30 to be exact) of driving by one of the coolest historic drive-in movie theaters right where i live, i'm finally in line.
my excuses were always the line of cars stretching from the entrance to well past Dutch Brothers (i could use a coffee but can't leave my car. this was a spontaneous decision, you see) and the fact that they don't start until it gets dark. (i'd come for a 5:00 feature if they were open in winter).
and so, Star Wars and The Devil Wears Prada 2 await me. if i can stay awake, that is.
carpe drive-in, seize the movies! this theater really is cool. when one reads about one's home time in bougie travel mags, it's time to get over the excuses and go already.

ReplyDeletei really enjoyed the film! it had a few more serious/poignant moments than the first one, i think. And overall, the drive-in was worth the $10 (and 10 hours of time investment) :) xo nettie
