snapshots

it's an otherwise ordinary friday for me. 

that being said, i had a chance to observe several snapshots of life that cause me to ponder.  just noticing and wondering how the stories began or how they may finish, who can say?

...the first during the morning commute, a van is in the ditch, airbag deployed on the driver (who was still in the vehicle), while the engine is smoking.  other cars are pulling over, phones out to call emergency vehicles.  one man is running as fast as he can with tools and rope towards the van...

...the second during errands for work, i see a man beside a shopping cart squatting in the roadside dirt carefully filtering water from a mud puddle... 

...the third is the owner of a successful local bakery telling me his leading points of wisdom, one:  define your own vision or else others will define it for you and two:  commit to your vision, don't give yourself a plan b...
